Fallout: New Vegas

Subject: Fallout: New Vegas... Feelings?

All the press so far has me excited.

I really liked Fallout 3. It sounds like they are doing a good job of making a new, unique game while keeping the elements of 3 that made it so much fun.

I've been a fan of Fallout ever since I played the top-down RPG games that were 1 and 2. It's nice to see that franchise continue even if it is a completely different take on it.

Fallout 3 was my introduction to the series, and I put a lot of hours into that game (still am). New Vegas has me really excited, because it seems like they're keeping the basic feel of the game, but giving it a new dynamic. Getting away from the underpopulated wasteland to show a bigger, more intact city will keep it from feeling like the same thing I just put 50 or 60 hours into. I think this will be a lot of fun.

tbh I loved the first 2 but I didn't really like 3 all that much. I just felt like it was Oblivion but with guns. So every time I hear about this game I always get this 'ehhhh' feeling.

@Ryan The first two were amazing. No doubt about it. When I first saw Fallout 3 I was skeptical. Once I played it though, I loved it. I guess it won me over. The changes made in New Vegas seem like they will address most of the criticisms of #3. :)

@fxwanab I think that the changes you mentioned will be for the better. I still love the feel of being alone in a wasteland. Call me crazy, but it was kind of thrilling. Pitting yourself against anything and everything out there.

I'm excited.

I'm going to give it a shot. I don't know if I am expecting anything different than Fallout 3, but I am liking some of the changes I have been hearing about.
