Minecraft is a lego-style, sandbox, survival game where you can do almost anything you want. There is no narration. There is no direction. You start out with nothing but your wits and a MASSIVE world to explore and conquer. Like most people, you will discover that you can punch trees to obtain wood blocks. Wood blocks can be split into boards. Boards become sticks. Boards also build a "crafting table" where you can build even more things using the 3x3 grid. Wooden tools will soon follow (pickaxe, shovel, sword, axe) and then you mine rock and coal. Coal and a stick gives you torches. Torches provide light. Light helps you survive. Zombies, creepers, skeletons and spiders will slaughter you mercilessly if you are caught out after dark with no weapons, armor, or light.
